Afterschool programs keep kids safe, help working families and inspire learning. According to data from the Afterschool Alliance, 14.3 million children are without adult supervision in the afternoon hours.

Since last year we have been working with the CENSUS Bureau to inform and educate on the importance of this event for our community. We do not want anyone to be left behind.
Starting Friday March 19 until April 29, representatives from the CENSUS Bureau will be at HOW from Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. They will be availabe to assist with filing the survey, answer questions and to provide any support related to this event.

Through our partnership with the Miami Dade County Public Schools, this year we will provide once more our our new classes: Entrepreneuship/Employability Skills – Leadership/Civic Awareness. These classes are open to students from the South Dade Adult Center enrolled in the RISE Program. Classses start April 12.
